Start at zero. Train to a real checkride standard. No padded hours between you and the certificate.
One CFI. No club dues. No padded hours. Mitch Gunter flies out to your airport and hands you a written syllabus before your second lesson.
Every program runs on three-hour blocks — brief, fly, debrief. You finish each lesson with a clear record of what you accomplished and what comes next. No mystery, no filler hours.
Start at zero. Train to a real checkride standard. No padded hours between you and the certificate.
Real cross-country IFR in actual IMC when conditions allow. Not just sim time and canned holding patterns.
Precision maneuvers built to commercial standards. Documented, consistent, checkride-ready.
Single-engine procedures, systems knowledge, and real proficiency — not a rubber-stamp endorsement.
Cirrus and Bonanza transitions with insurance-friendly documentation and a syllabus you can show your underwriter.
You own the airplane. Mitch builds the syllabus around it — your aircraft, your systems, your operating environment.
Structured and documented in your aircraft or the SR20. Not a formality — a genuine currency check.
Real approaches and holds, not just paperwork. Logged, signed, and ready for your insurer.
Systems deep-dive, normal and abnormal procedures, operating envelope — everything the POH glosses over.
~90 minutes · No prior experience required
Step into a Cirrus SR20 G3, brief the route, fly the airplane, and leave with a signed logbook entry. That hour counts toward your private pilot training. One flight, and you already have skin in the game.
"I'm not going to tell you a lesson was great if it wasn't. You get straight feedback, a written record of every flight, and my actual phone number." — Mitch Gunter, CFI / CFII / MEI · Adler LLC
Long enough to brief thoroughly, fly something real, and debrief before the lesson fades. No 45-minute blocks that eat a tab in your logbook and leave you hanging until next week.
A round-robin under IFR, a night cross-country, a diversion you didn't plan. Judgment, not just procedure.

Zero. I've had students show up for a discovery flight who have never sat in a small airplane before. It doesn't matter.
Not for the discovery flight. You'll need a Third Class medical (or BasicMed) before you can solo. Schedule it early — it's the one part of this that I can't control the timeline on.
Realistically four to five months if you're flying two or three times a week and keeping up with the ground material. The constraint is almost always scheduling consistency, not aptitude.
